The online video is useless. The screens and options it shows arent even available on my updated Maxidas DS708. Does this thing ACTUALLY flash PCM's or no...?

I am sorry. The videos are shot at the beginning to help people to get familiar with our products.
Since then, more and more new functions had been added to our system, so maybe some screens are pretty different now.

Hi  the ds708 does not have the ability to flash pcm since is not a passthru j2534    however  there is a fix for that  when replacing the pcm with a used pcm  disconnect the skim   change the vin number on the pcm  connect the skim back and your done no pin code is  needed   this is assuming you are using the original skim/wcm   if a pin code is available just go to skim  pcm replacement input 4 digit pin code done  hope this helps  post back any results good day

Really amazing to do the jobs in such a way.
But you can also take a look at our J2534 programming device: Maxisys Pro, which enables you to do the job much easier with the help of MaxiFlash.

well unless you know all the tricks to the trade no special tool will  let you accomplish this,  we will see about your new maxi flash j2534  I am waiting for the release of this tool  the only thing that concerns me about this j2534 of your is I checked with all the oem websites and they don't accept any new j2534 devises only the ones on their list is that something autel already thought about because is something happens while reprogramming/flashing a pcm and  we are not using the specified j2534 on their list we can't claim anything  not even support hopefully  autel thought about this
